Postcards of Zagreb

The Croatian capital and main city with 1.1 million inhabitants in the metropolitan area, situated in the Central Croatia region to the north of the Medvednica mountain, on the banks of the Sava river. It was founded in 1094 by Hungarian King Ladislaus, who established a diocesis and a fortified settlement called Gradec.
