The largest city in the Dalmatia region, it is situated on a small peninsula. 4 centuries under the Republic of Venice, in 1798 passed under the Austrian Hungarian Empire, in 1919 was included in Yugoslavia. For 2 years, 1941 to 1943 it was part of Italy.

Place: Split - a part of the Diocletian's Palace, this is the door of the Jupiter Temple, built in the 5th century AD - the column and the Aegyptian sphynx of black granite are original, inside there are frescoes on 3 walls; the temple was used as a baptistery in Christian times.
