Mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China

Description - The monument is situated at the foot of the second peak of the Purple Mountain in Nanjing, the capital of the Jiangsu Province in eastern China. Sun (1866-1925) was a revolutionary and politician whose leadership brought about the collapse of the Qing Dynasty in 1911, after which he became the first president of the Republic of China in 1912 and the first leader of the Kuomintang.
