Postcards of Anaheim, California
The second most populous city in Orange County, Anheim was founded by German immigrants in 1857 and is well-known for the presence in its territory of the Disneyland Resort theme parks, hotels and retail stores as well as for the Angel Stadium.
Place: Anaheim - an aerial epochal photograph of the first baseball game played in the new stadium, April 9, 1966, when the California Angels hosted the San Francisco Giants in an exhibition game. The stadium underwent massive restoration works in the years 1996-7. At the time the stadium was surrounded by a ground-level parking area capable of 12,000 cars, and seated over 46,000.
