The Asian continent
Asia, the "cradle" of the world, the largest continent and also the most varied and populous, of which Europe seems only a small peninsula. The name derives from an Assyrian word, Açu, which mean "East" while "Ereb", that became Europe, means "West".
The great monuments of Asia are mostly connected to the history of the religions that all took origin on this ancient land: Christ, Mahomet, Buddha, Confucius all were born in Asia. In their honor churches, mosques, temples, pagodas were built, expressions with their splendor and grandeur of a faith that would defeat time. The spirit of this continent is more than any other deeply rooted in its spirituality.
